Schedule Doesn't Work

For only $500 per day, have a private lesson in FLASH at your workplace. Pick any day that works for you, and our FLASH instructor will come to your workplace and instruct you on using FLASH. Training can be beginning, intermediate or advanced level. Working on a particular project and need some direction, this is the perfect opportunity to get some help.

Workshop is taught
using CS4

Design Desk two-day workshop in Adobe Flash CS4 is offered once a month, and is for the web artist with no prior Flash experience. The workshop offers hands-on practice in how to design and execute cross-platform, low-bandwidth animations, presentations and Web applications.

This class is for those who are already comfortable with other graphic OR web applications, and familiar with basic Web terminology. It is essential that all students have basic computer skills. Please discuss any specific needs, specific or general, prior to placement in a class.

You will learn how to create rich media containing animation, sound, and video. The course stresses using the best practices of design while focusing on the importance of usability, accessibility, optimization, and performance of your website.

Student class book is Adobe Flash CS4 Classroom in a Book by Adobe Press.

The two-day class covers:

  • Efficiently creating animations for faster viewing.
  • Creating text, rollovers, and drop-down menus to add interactivity to your site.
  • Incorporating and optimize images, graphics, sound and video.
  • Structure documents effectively using the Timeline and layers.
  • Working with graphic symbols, buttons, movie clips, behaviors, and basic action scripts.
  • Viewing images on the web using a Flash animation
  • Creating an illusion of an image disappearing and reappearing
  • Morphing a photo into a drawing
  • Dynamically loading JPEGs, text and other media.
  • Utilizing both motion and shape tweening for smooth transitions.
  • Publishing and optimizing Flash documents.
