Web images use 72 ppi
Laser prints use 150 to 200 ppi

Resampling

If the dimensions (width and height) are too large you have to resample the image. Check the resampling box.

Enter a new width of 800 pixels. You do not have to change the height since the constrain proportions is checked.

After resampling your image you will need to sharpen it.

Resampling means to add or delete pixels from your image and results in lost of clarity and definition. The more drastic the change the greater the degration of the image.

Note in this example the original Pixel Dimension was 3.49 meg and will be resampled down to a file size of 1.22 meg.
