Creating the Action for Resizing & Resampling

Resizing

Choose Image/Image Size... from the menu bar. In the dialog box uncheck resampling and enter the correct resolution for your usage.

  • Images for the web use 72 ppi
  • Images for laser printing use 150 to 200 ppi
  • Images for offset printing use 225 to 300 ppi.


Resizing means to keep the same number of pixels in the file and simply redefine the number of pixels per inch (ppi) for its usage. You uncheck resampling to resize an image. The quality of the image and file size is unchanged.
