STEP 1

Using the Batch Command with Selected Images

Using the Batch Command

The Batch command is used to run an action on: a folder, opened files, selected files in the File Browser, or imported images from a scanner or digital camera.

From the menu bar choose File \ Automate \ Batch... The Batch dialog box opens up and the File Browser automatically closes.

Comparing the Web Photo Gallery Command to the Batch Command

The menu item File / Automate / Web Photo Gallery creates a html page, resamples your images, and creates thumbnails of each image. You can control the resampling of the images, and size of the thumbnails. If you are planning to take images from your digital camera and make web pages, take a look at this automatic process. It is a time saver, since there is no need to write an action. You do not have to keep the html page that is generated if you don't want to.The only difference in using this technique as opposed to the Batch Command with the File Browser is that the source must be an entire folder it cannot be specific selected images from the File Browser.
