Welcome to Design Desk where in a computer classroom setting you can learn a powerful graphics or page layout package. Workshops are held at our computer training facility at the University of Maryland, Shady Grove Campus, Maryland and at John Hopkins University, Montgomery County. Classes are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and class size is limited to five students or less, which allows for individual attention.
Classes are on both PC and Mac computer platforms. The cost for the training is $279 per day. The Photoshop workshops are three days in length and all other workshops are two days in length.
Since Design Desk is an Adobe Authorized Training Center we use the student manual, Classroom in a Book by Adobe. We offer training in the Adobe Creative Suites software packages: Adobe Photoshop CS, Adobe InDesign CS, Adobe GoLive CS, and Adobe Illustrator CS.
This book is supplemented with other examples. Classes are not just step by step, but teach you how to do your job task. Students are welcomed and encouraged to bring in files to work on.

Computer training can also be obtained in Painter, FileMaker Pro, and Freehand. Class schedules are not posted on the web for these software packages, and can be obtained by sending an email. You can also arrange for a customized training class in any of our applications in our workshops. |
